I love new beginnings, and going into a new year is no exception. A new year is like a legitimate new beginning :) You have the possibility to start over again. What happened last year is last year. The new year has all possibilities to be your best year ever. But you do have a better chance of making it happen if you prepare, so here are some ideas for doing just that.
1. Review last year
Start with reviewing this last year – what highs and lows did you have? What goals did you have and how did they work out? Why did you manage to keep up with them, or maybe, how come you failed at succeeding at them?
Go through the ups and downs and see what you can learn and take with you to 2017.
Time passes by so quickly and it’s so easy to forget what happens during a year, so take the opportunity to also remember the good times and the achievements you had this past year.
2. Brainstorm
Ask yourself some deep questions like what you want from life, what makes you happy, what do you want to achieve? What will be required for you to feel like you’ve succeeded?
Do some brainstorming, and be as free as a bird when you sit there and ponder on these questions. The sky’s the limit! You only have one life, make sure you live it and make sure to dream big.
3. Map it out
Now that you know what it is you really want out of life and out of next year it’s time to make some plans. What steps do you need to take to reach your goals? How should you prioritize the different steps, and when is the deadline for each of those steps?
Map it out so that those days when you don’t feel motivated or have no clue what to do, you just go back to this list and know exactly what you should do next.
My Big Plans – The Workbook
As I said in the beginning of this blog post – I love new beginnings and I do love me some planning!
I’ve always done some sort of planning for the new year – set up goals and mapped out what I need to do to reach them and so on. And this year I decided to create a workbook that I can go through, with questions to guide me along the way.
And so the ”My Big Plans” workbook was born.
In the workbook I’ve mapped out questions to help you, and me, to dig deep info the different areas – review, brainstorming and mapping it out. I also wrote a guide to go along with the workbook, explaining a little bit more about the idea behind the questions.
If you want to check it out or read some more about it you can go to my Etsy store and check it out. It’s a downloadable PDF which means you’ll get instant access to it and can print it at home. Plus you can re-use it as many times as you want, year after year.
If you decide to invest in it I would love it if you tag me in a picture on Instagram (@forevergoodlife), and if you ever have any questions just send me a message or comment on the blog.
It’s been a hectic end to 2016 and I’ve been MIA on the blog and Instagram. Sorry about that, but I can feel my energy levels getting replenished and I’m getting back on track! I can’t wait for 2017 to get started! :)
Happy New Year my friend, I hope you’ll have an amazing 2017!
I would love to hear your thoughts :)
