Bullet journal monthly spread – ideas and inspiration

September 23, 2016

If you follow me over at instagram you might have seen my post on my September monthly layout. In the comments I said it didn’t really work out as expected. I’m not completely sure what I expected though. So, as we all do (or at least I think I’m not alone in this :) I got into research mode to find a monthly spread that I could try out. Maybe I could find the perfect one… ;)

Bullet Journal Monthly Spread / Monthly Layout Inspiration Ideas

I thought I’d share some of the layouts I found. So without further ado, here are some monthly layouts I found inspirational in some way shape or form…

Bullet Journal Monthly Spread - Example

Not sure who’s bullet journal this is as the link only was to this image. I like the way she (or he) got so much into only one spread. I also really like the idea of ”website of the month”. It could be fun to go back and see when I found certain blogs or sites, or to see what I was zeroing in on that month.

Besides from making a really pretty monthly page, I like how Maddie adds important dates in a list so it’s easy at a glance to see what’s going on that month.

This one was just so pretty it immediately went into my savings folder.

This one made me think that maybe I’d want to make a sort of collage, or dream board, for each month. Anyhow, super pretty and a lot of colors which I always love to see but never really seem to incorporate into my own bujo.

Love the minimalistic and functional feel of this monthly layout.

Like the monthly overview circle that I’ve seen so many bullet journalists do. Also liked how she put the August note in there with washi tape.

I love how Maren framed and illustrated some icons on each thing that happened that month.

Love how much Ellie fits into one spread. She makes it look so good too.

Love the grid layout Ingrid did for September. She puts the weeks horizontally instead of vertically and I like the look it gets.

BuJo Monthly Layout - Inspiration

Another grid layout that looks so neat. Love the minimalistic feel it has.

Hm, I’m not sure I understand… But it sounds like a good thing if your teacher liked it? Lovely to hear, happy for you :)

Have just recently began a bullet journal this week. I love the idea of it. I am a massive bookworm so this help me keep track of my books as well as day to day life and school. Thank you for these ideas they are so inspiring. I am thinking of having a monthly spread, although the starting part is always intimidating. I have lots of ideas and inspiration but I hate the idea of ruining my new journal. Hahah
Thanks:) First time on your website, I love it.

I know the feeling of not wanting ruin a new journal haha. I don’t know if this will help you, but I had a mantra that went something like ‘perfection is boring, mistakes bring personality’ that I repeated a few days before I actually got started with my first bullet journal. Plus I used it pretty often in the beginning to help me relax a bit about it all. I hope you get started because it is both useful and fun with bullet journals :)
Thanks for the comment and sweet words, it means a lot to me <3
