You’ve probably heard, or seen, #The100DayProject on the social medias. It was started by Elle Luna a few years back, and the idea is to create and share something every day for 100 days. And if you want o be part of the massive community that’s built around this you simply use the hashtag #The100DayProject.
You can of course start this whenever you want, but there’s an ”official” start on April 4th for the 2017 round. Which means there’ll be a lot of other creatives doing the challenge at the same time. It’s a great way to be part of the creative community and see what other’s are up to.
From what I understand the idea is to complete something every day. So, if you decide your thing is to draw plants then you should finish the plant drawing by the end of that day, and start with a fresh one the next day. This challenge is not about creating something big, or even something perfect. This is about getting into motion by doing something every day and doing it for the process, not the outcome.
How to take part
If you want to take part in this you first decide on your creative outlet for these 100 days. From what I gather from listening to others, it can actually be a good idea to be very specific when deciding. Many say it helps the creativity to have boundaries.
If you decide to share what you create and want to be part of the community, post it on Instagram and use the hashtag #The100DayChallenge. You can also create your own personal hashtag that you use, which is a fun way to keep track of your creative work.
As I was pondering what I wanted my challenge to be I came up with a ton of ideas. I created this months freebie out of it :) If you want to get your hands on it you can do so by signing up to get access to the library. The library is where you’ll find this printable together with everything else I’ve shared since I started.
My take on #The100DayProject
This will be my first time doing this, and to be honest I’m wondering if I’ll be able to pull it off. I think that if I keep reminding myself it’s about the process, not the outcome it can work. We’ll have to wait and see I guess :)
I haven’t completely decided on what my topic will be yet, but I’m leaning towards doing something that incorporates handlettering or pattern creation. I have a few more days to decide, and I do need them haha
Now back to you…
